The Author’s Path
Prakash Dighé lived in India, Germany, and Kenya before settling in the US. A graduate Mechanical Engineer from India, he’s had four years of specialized training in the former West Germany. Upon return to India, he worked for fifteen years with various engineering firms before he accepted an offer from a large engineering conglomerate in East Africa.
He worked for two years in Tanzania before being relocated to Kenya. During the twenty years that he spent in Kenya, he was given several assignments, some of which involved extensive travel within Africa and later to Asia and Europe. During that period, he set up an engineering plant in Ethiopia and later, traveled to Eritrea, Nepal, Myanmar, and Viet Nam to study the feasibility of setting up similar plants in those countries. Even though he was fortunate enough to have been employed in several countries and traveled extensively on work-related assignments, it was the life in Kenya that he later realized was somehow specila.
Living in Kenya for more than two decades was one of the most cherished periods in his life, and it had long been his desire to use that country with a fascinating colonial history and from where the word “safari” originates, as a setting for his first novel, “Limited Edition: A Poacher’s Endgame.” The warm and encouraging response that was received from the readers prompted him to come up with this sequel, also set in Kenya.
Prakash lives with his family in Dallas, Texas.
Authentic Settings
Every location in my novels is a character itself. From the high-tech hubs of Westlands to the remote outposts of the northern frontier, I draw upon the authentic sights, sounds, and tensions of modern Kenya. I ensure that every chase and every confrontation feels as real as the dust under your boots.
Relentless Pacing
My philosophy is grounded in suspense that never lets up. I combine geopolitical realism with tactical action to keep you turning pages late into the night. This is fiction for those who demand intelligence and intensity, exploring the thin line between survival and betrayal in the shadows of the Rift Valley.
